Abstract

The article discusses the relationship between the transplacental approach and fetal or neonatal anemia among pregnant women with placenta previa (PP). Topics discussed include the requirements that need to be satisfied for a transplacental approach to be used, the perinatal and neonatal outcomes for PP with and without the use of the transplacental approach and the assertion that the transplacental approach can be used in cases wherein the chances of an abnormally invasive placenta are low.
