Abstract

The article discusses a controlled laboratory study conducted by authors to analyze the effects of foam rolling to treat delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) and recovery of muscle performance after exercise. Topics discussed includes impact of foam rolling on recovery and muscle power, foam rolling techniques on several muscles including gluteals, hamstrings and quadriceps, impact of DOMS on pain, correlation between DOMS and foam rolling and biochemical changes induced by foam rolling.
