The article discusses challenges in quantitative determination of low-molecular-weight aggregates of proteins. Topics discussed include several separation technologies are size-exclusion chromatography (SEC), sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS)-gel electrophoresis and field flow fractionation (FFF), high resolution techniques works when interfaced with separation tools and nonseparation-based method like viscometry, mass spectrometry (MS) and ion mobility spectrometry (IMS) found much efficient.
