Abstract

The link between two theories is evaluated in this article looking for a methodology allowing assessing digital inclusion points (DIP) in Brazil with a critical vision towards mediation. The perception of confluence areas between Warschauer and Wygotsky -convergence of resources and mediationpointing at the possibility of dialogue with the intention of establishing a theoretical-- methodological line is highlighted. The significance of considering the junction of state-of-the-art technologies and knowledge in order to close the gap is shown. The analysis is critical and search for promoting debates on cognitive approach for digital inclusion. The cognitive approach of this perspective, no longer a purely quantitative side of these approaches, to join the convergence of the proposed resources. Thus, according to the theoretical apparatus presented in this article, the assessment should be carried out from the mediator and the mediated relationship, noting that there is some cognitive impairment in users.
