Abstract: The article discusses several court cases that involves energy companies in the U.S. and Texas as of September 2014. These cases include Big Rock Investors Association v. Big Rock Petroleum Inc., Exelon Wind 1 LLC v. Nelson, Key Operating & Equipment Inc. v. Hegar, and Southwest Royalties Inc. v. Combs. Also detailed are various issues related to international energy law and the role of Federal Energy Regulatory Commission in the cases.
