Encrucijada de déficits y desigualdades: Centroamérica, historia de una región desintegrada.

The article discusses the issue of regional disintegration as a historical constant in Central America. The paper exposes the shortcomings, problems, and contradictions that have hindered the development and deepening of the integration process in the isthmus. In particular, raises deficits, gaps, asymmetries and other expressions of inequality as factors that have contributed to undermining stability, political, economic and social unit of the Central American region.
