Abstract

By utilizing multicolor upconversion luminescence of rare earth-doped nanophosphors (UCNPs), NIR-light-activated photopolymerization and controlled drug delivery is achieved for PEGDA hydrogels. The loading capacity of zinc(ii) phthalocyanine reaches 12.3% into UCNPs–PEGDA hybrid microspheres. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
