Crystal structures and optical properties of iodoplumbates hybrids templated by in situ synthesized 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane derivatives.

We investigate the impact of different derivatives of 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane on the crystal structures of iodoplumbates by systematically increasing the size of the same organic amine, and present two new 1-D iodoplumbates. Optical studies reveal the semiconductor characteristics of all as-synthesized iodoplumbate hybrids. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
