Manifesto group demands national strategy for teacher education.

The article provides information on "Rebuilding the Wall: A Manifesto for Initial and Continuing Teaching Education," a collection of papers authored by members of the Supply and Training of Teachers Advisory Group (SATTAG) in Great Britain calling for a national strategy to recruit, retain, and develop teachers. Suggestions on teacher education from Reading University Vice Chancellor David Bell included in the report are also discussed.
