Abstract
- The article reports decline in India's share of developing Sukhoi T-50-based fighter in collaboration with Russia due to reduction in Indian air force requirement of aircrafts to 144 from 214. Topics discussed include views of Indian Air Force Chief Arup Raha on delays in negotiations, concerns raised by air force about technical characteristics of the fifth-generation fighter, and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's decision that new defense contracts will require "Made in India" quotient.
