Abstract

This work arises from readings TALIS survey on the conditions of formation and work of the teacher, whose purpose is to guide educational policy on the subject. Its object forms of school leadership and management in Brazil and Spain in schools of secondary education, which, in Brazil, corresponding to the final years of primary school. In this direction, brings a brief overview of the features and some forms of school management in Brazil, from the analysis of the survey data mentioned in order to identify trends adopted policies related to teaching. According to the report TALIS in Brazil has dominated the style of school leadership and instructional, Spain, the leadership style of school administration (OECD, 2009). The discourse presented in the text, we observed a trend toward instructional management style and a direction that tends to this, that is, an emphasis on text that highlights this model as ideal. In the responses of the directors of the countries surveyed, there are many variations in the use of the two styles.
