- The article focuses on the career of the late baseball player George Anderson. Topics covered include the selection of the nickname "Sparky" that was bestowed upon Anderson by former Fort Worth Cats broadcaster Bill Hightower, the salary he signed with the Class C Santa Barbara Dodgers and the benefit of having the late George Scherger as manager during Anderson's first season in professional baseball.
