Abstract
- The article focuses on the feat of Sacramento Solon Neill Sheridan on July 8, 1953, when he raced an Arabian horse and won while homering over the right-field fence in their game against the San Francisco Seals, reportedly the longest home run ever measured. Topics discussed include a brief overview of Sheridan's baseball career, the discovery of his historic home run, and the Plat of Survey report showing the flight of the ball from Edmonds Fields in California to a parked car on Burnett Way.
