Abstract

The article offers information on the plan of Scottish government for printing more than 20,000 paper subsidy forms in case of inefficiency of online system for Basic Payment Scheme (BPS) applications. Topics include the government's concern that computer programme will not keep up for applications starting on March 16, 2015, the views of National Farmers' Union Scotland (NFUS) chairman Gerald Banks on the same, and the challenges with online application such as inability to save information.
