- The article focuses on how to choose an amplifier for use with test instruments. Topics discussed include why it requires a unit with characteristics that optimally measure up to a particular application; why broadband amplifiers must overcome some complex design challenges; and the cost of a broadband amplifier that may be 20 times that of a narrowband amplifier.
