Abstract
- ABSTRACT In this study, we use a nanoparticle cluster composed of silicon nanodisks in both symmetric and antisymmetric regimes to design an artificial efficient nanoswitch. Using appeared Fano dip for the antisymmetric nanocluster in the visible spectrum, we controlled the quality of Fano resonance (FR) by changing the polarization direction of the incident light source. In this method, we showed that appearing and disappearing of FR for different polarizations can be used to design an ON/OFF switch based on the behavior of Fano dip in a silicon-based cluster. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
