Abstract

The article presents a study on the examination of osteoporotic fracture rates in women who were going through bisphosphonate therapy since one year. Topics discussed include definition of adherence as a medication possession ratio (MPR), identification of higher comorbidity score and fragility fracture in the first year of treatment, identification of drawbacks as no information was available on calcium's supplement use, bone mineral density and reasons for initiation of oral bisphosphonates.
