Abstract

Allocate public funds among competitive alternatives demands the development of models that evaluate and select those that meet simultaneously with the established goals and with the multiple criteria choices. In this context, the Fundacion Produce of BC distributed its resources without a scheme to assess the economic contribution of agri-food activities to the state. The aim of this paper is to present the design and construction of the model prioritizing them, as a policy tool to guide public spending and prioritized transparent allocate, identifying those whose multiplier effects have a clear impact based on their dynamism, participation in production structure and degree of market specialization. The result shows that for BC, these are the cultivation of asparagus, alfalfa, and wheat. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
