Abstract: The article offers information related to gastroenterological surgery, particularly on esophageal surgery. Several topics being discussed include the application of thoracoscopic surgery for thoracic esophageal cancer as well as the application of endoscopic surgery for benign esophageal disease such as gastroesophageal reflux disease and esophageal achalasia. Other information related to endoscopic surgery is presented.
