Abstract
- Biomedical electrical impedance tomography (EIT) seeks to image the interior conductivity spatial distribution within a 3-D object. In this paper, we propose a novel excitation mode of 3-D EIT for generalized back projection algorithm (GBPA). The new injection configuration is optimized by particle swarm optimization making the equipotential distribution monotonic, so that the projection matrix of GBPA would be computed more accurate and available. In addition, the GBPA reconstruction results in the optimized mode are compared with those in multisection simultaneous adjacent excitation mode assessed by several metrics in simulation experiments.
