Abstract

The article focuses on U.S. Republican Party candidates for the 2016 Presidential elections and reasons why some candidates are running. It claims the largest group of candidates have no chance of winning and are instead seeking publicity, including for book sales or for television careers. It suggests some candidates are running in an effort to get a job in a lobbying firm or a government post if Republicans win. It presents a list of Republican candidates including Scott Walker and Rand Paul.
