The authors comment on a study R. M. Dixon and colleagues on the relationship between conspiracist ideation (CY) or conspiracism and climate-science rejection. Topics include earlier studies which found association between the endorsement of conspiracy theories and the rejection of scientific findings, the three questionable data-analytic choices made by the study authors to cast doubt on the linear effects reported, and their suggestion of not using CY in climate change prediction.
