Abstract

The article focuses on a study which aims to investigate prevalence of reactivation of human polyomavirus John Cunningham virus (JCV) in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and associated clinical manifestations. It states that the prevalence of JACV viruria and urine JCV viral load were higher in patients with SLE. It mentions that JCV viruria and urine JCV viral load were associated with occurrence of arthritis/arthralgia in patients with SLE.
