Abstract
- The article presents the highlights of a panel titled "Beyond Statistics: Exploring the Challenges Facing Black Anthropology Students in the Pursuit of Graduate Degrees" at the Society for Applied Anthropology (SfAA) meetings in Albuquerque, New Mexico in March 2014. The panelists include Lauren C. Johnson, Alisha R. Winn and Emelda Curry from the University of South Florida (USF). Topics discussed include African American students taking anthropology, feelings of isolation and mentorship.
