Abstract
- The article explores the history and background of the Battle of Waterloo in 1815 between French forces commanded by emperor Napoleon and English forces commanded by the Duke of Wellington. Emphasis is given to topics such as casualties of the French Revolution and the Napoleonic Wars, Napoleon's education and military training, and the imperial ambitions of France against the British, Austrians, Prussians, and Russians.
