Abstract
- In this article the authors comment on a study by T. Gomes & others regarding association of cotrimoxazole with sudden death in older patients receiving inhibitors of renin-angiotensin system, published in a 2014 issue of the journal "British Medical Journal." They mention that the study examines measures to be considered before prescribing cotrimoxazole to older patients with comorbidities. They report about monitoring serum K when drugs known to raise serum K are prescribed to older patients.
