Abstract

Time-shifted TV has become one of the typical multimedia businesses. It has a variety of functions but the operations are more complex. Since the existing tests do not fully consider the interactions of parameters in the system, it is very difficult to find certain functional defects and failures. We apply the adaptive combinatorial testing methodology to Set-Top Box time-shifted T V business testing. Firstly we establish a combinatorial testing model, then we design and execute test cases and locate the faults exposed in the testing. The empirical study not only validates the existing combinatorial testing theories and methods, but also finds many real failures in the Set-Top Box time-shifted TV business. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
