Abstract
- The article discusses the poem "Don Juan," by the English Romantic poet Lord George Gordon Byron. Contemporary and modern critical reactions to the poem are examined, and conflicts between naturalism, Christianity, heroics and liberalism in the poem are examined along with its use of paradox and ambiguity.
