Abstract
- The article discusses developments in the operation of the U.S. Defense Department as of April 2015, particularly the issues involving the department's fiscal 2016 budget. Among the issues are the proposed elimination of 8,200 Army Guard soldiers in 2016 and 7,000 in 2017, and the plan to takeover the Army Guard's 192 AH-64 Apache attack helicopters. Also cited is the comment by U.S. Congressman Steve Womack on the developments.
