Abstract
- The article reports on the establishment of the Molybdenum-99 production facility of the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO) at Lucas Heights in Sutherland Shire, which approved by the independent regulator, the Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency (ARPANSA). Topics discussed include domestic demand of nuclear medicine products, the use of technetium-99m for nuclear medicine procedures and the price structure of nuclear medicine.
