Hepatology: Images of hydatid cyst of the liver mimicking an hepatic abscess.

The article presents a case study of a 44-year-old woman who was admitted to the hospital for acute cholangitis. The patient's physical examination revealed symptoms of jaundince and tenderness in her right upper quadrant and computed tomography showed a marked dilation and was diagnosed with liver abscess. The patient then subjected for pericystectomy associated with choledochotomy, extraction of hydatid material and t-tube drainage.
