Abstract

The article presents a study which examines the time-dependent changes and provide imaging evidence for diagnosis and therapy in indirect traumatic optic neuropathy (ITON) patients with diffusion tensor imaging (DTI). The differences between injured optic nerve (ON) and contralateral ON as well as the DT magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) were tested on 28 subjects with ITON. Results reveal reduced fractional anisotropy (FA), increased radial and mean diffusivity of injured nerve
