Abstract: Provides information on a study which investigated the properties of the skin and the coat of cattle, water buffalo and deer with respect to solar shortwave radiation especially of interest to tropical regions. Materials and methods; Measurements of the hair coat surface in cattle and deer and their reflectance for the wavelength according to color; Analysis of the spectral reflectance of the hair coat in Pantanal deer and Simmental cattle.
