Abstract

Examines the reassembly of the nuclear envelope (NE) at the end of mitosis requires targeting of the B-type lamin protein phosphatase, PP1, to the envelope by A-kinase anchoring protein AKAP149. Dissociation of PP1 from immunoprecipitated AKAP149; Transfection of AKAP149-derived RVXF peptides in G1 phase elicits lamin phosphorylation and disassembly; Regulation of the AKAP149-PP1 interaction at the NE.
