Abstract

Presents physicans' thoughts of a memorable patient named Bella, a chimpanzee at the London Zoo. Problems posed over trying to get a blood sample; Attempts to hide the sedative in her drink and ice cream treat; Use of the chimp's blood for research purposes in order to understand why they are resistant to the effects of infection with the human immunodeficiency virus.
