PLASTİK REKONSTRÜKTİF VE ESTETİK CERRAHİ ALANİNDA TÜRKİYE'DE VE DİĞER ÜLKELERDE YAPILAN BİLİMSEL YAYINLAR.

Introduction: The dynamic of the scientific publications attracts the interest of scientific world. Concerning this fact, there are significant growths in the number of research papers are utilized indicating publication rates in recent years. In this study, the scientific publication performance of Turkey and the other countries in plastic surgery fields has been evaluated. Materials and Methods: We search the literature in "ISI Web of Science" database concerning the plastic surgery field in the last ten years. Results: According to the our study, main contributions to plastic surgery publications comes from USA, England and Japan. Indeed there is a minimal fluctuation in the total number of publications from Turkey throughout years; there are an increased number of citations in the last years. Conclusion: The increased number of the citations to the publications from Turkey may indicate that quality of the publications increases. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
