Abstract
- Access to health services in an dean communities and particularly in those characterized by maintaining cultural legacies after generations still has structural problems, which in many cases violate fundamental rights of users. Objectives. The study describes the user's perception of the health services of the Chopcca community in Huancavelica from an Intercultural perspective. Materials and methods. Qualitative and quantitative study, which describes and contrasts the perceptions of users of health services, the health service providers, traditional health workers and external observers. 771 surveys were applied to heads of households and 30 health service providers. The qualitative phase was developed with a user focus groups, in depth interviews with traditional health workers and outside observers. Results. 44% of users stated that they have "never" participated in the planning and prioritization of local health activities; 85% report that when they make use of home delivery health workers imposed a "fine"; and 77,2% reported that health workers affects their health care to their participation in social programs like "Juntos", "Pensión 65" and others. Meanwhile 36,3% of health workers, report that home births without health care staff are sanctioned; and 60% reported they "always" and "almost always" the health care condition for social programs like "Juntos", "Pensión 65" and others. Conclusion. Users of health services in the districts of Yauli and Paucará have little involvement in planning and prioritizing local health activities; there is also a conditioning of health care to participation in social programs.
