"AN OVERTAKING OF DEPTH": THEOLOGY AS RETRIEVAL.

This article discusses the studies on theology as a retrieval which involves a particular style of performing theological work wherein resources from the past like doctrines, traditions and practices are found useful for present situations. It also explains about the preservation of Christian identity and assessment by reception and transmission of the deposit of faith. The contribution of retrieval towards the goal of Christian faithfulness is also mentioned.
