Procedimiento para la gestión de residuos generados en instalaciones hoteleras cubanas.

This research is about a procedure that allows to develop strategies on reverse logistics of the main waste products generated in small and medium size hotels (PyMITH). Begining with a diagnosis of environmental behaviour which includies determining an indicator of overall evaluation. This allows to know which is the environmental situation in these institutions. It also reveals what is the main generated waste. The used methods were based on a theoretical analysis of the conceptions of the most current available national and international literature. For the development of the research several techniques to obtain information were applied such as direct observation, surveys, interviews, group's techniques, analysis of documents and records. The study is an important tool for assessing the environmental performance of facilities in the Cuban tourist sector; a proper application provides the same improvements in the competitive business in achieving proper management of wastes that are emitted to the environment.
