- The article states that U.S. government agencies were investigating whether the New York City hedge fund Och-Ziff Capital Management Group LLC was aware that part of a $150 million investment in African miner Central African Mining & Exploration Co. (Camec) would end up with the government Zimbabwe president Robert Mugabe. The article states that Och-Ziff was previously being investigated by U.S. agencies the Justice Department and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for possible violations of the U.S. legislation the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
