Abstract

The article looks at the challenges and issues associated with mathematics of paper folding such as Japanese paper craft origami. Topics discussed include geometric connections between mathematics and origami folding such as symmetries, use of five identical modular pieces for making origami star, and mathematical calculation for making origami.
