Abstract
- The article informs about the plan of United Launch Alliance (ULA) to use a reusable main engine and reignitable upper stage in its Vulcan rocket in order to reduce its cost of launch. Topics discussed include the statement of intent submitted by the firm to U.S. Air Force for the Vulcan certification, views of ULA's chief executive officer (CEO) Tory Bruno on the same, and ULA's partnership with racecar engine company Roush Motors to develop internal combustion engine.
