Abstract

The emergent events exert a significant impact on the corporate production, social stability, and economic prosperity. As the direct result of various emergent events, supply chain disruption brings multiple influences to the node enterprises in the supply chain and the supply chain as a whole. This study investigates the complexity of supply chain disruption risk conduction route, and introduces the small world network to qualitatively evaluate the applicability of the method of the small world network. Then, it is concerned with the impact of supply chain disruption risk conduction route on the speed, breadth and stability of supply chain disruption risk conduction, together with the numerical simulation analysis, which verifies the nature of the small world network relating to the supply chain disruption risk conduction route. Research has shown that the shorter disruption risk conduction route and larger aggregated coefficients are able to increase the speed of disruption risk conduction in the supply chain network. It has also shown that the stability of key node enterprises plays a pivotal role in stabilizing the whole supply chain network in the process of supply chain disruption risk conduction. The findings of this study could benefit the node enterprises on the supply chain and the supply chain as a whole in terms of the management of the disruption risks and the improvement of the operation efficiency.
