- The article discusses defense companies Northrop Grumman Corp. and Lockheed Martin scaling back work on developing their own company-funded designs for the United States Navy's Unmanned Carrier Launched Airborne Surveillance and Strike (Uclass) aircraft. Topics include the program being punted because of defense spending cuts and preference given to the United States Air force and Central Intelligence Agency's stealth RQ-180 unmanned reconnaissance system.
