The paper analyzes the characteristics and operation of Albear Aqueduct, an exceptional work of Cuban engineering of all time, designed by the military engineer Francisco Albear and Lara, who also directed its implementation over the second half of the nineteenth century. This important work was able to meet and exceed the needs of the people of that time with excellent water quality and continues running efficiently to the present.
