Abstract: The article examine of legacy litigation in Louisiana state courts as per the Act 400 of the 2014 Regular Session of the Louisiana legislature. Topics discussed include changes in the Louisiana laws in the state's economic interests, ways state of the law promoted an increase in litigation, and adverse policy implications of excess damage awards. It reports the decision of the Court of Appeal of Louisiana in the court case 'Corbello v. Iowa Production.'
