Abstract

The article reports on the controversy of changing the name of Paul Smith's College in New York, according to the requirement asked the college's well known benefactor Joan Weill. Topics include the concerns regarding the issue of naming he school in her name in exchange to the $20 million donation, the opposition on the proposed name change from alumni and neighbors, and the presentation of the public comment accepted by the states attorney general's office regarding the issue.
