Abstract

The article describes the case of a four-year old female neonate presented to the emergency department with lethargy, irritability, decreased urine output, poor feeding, and sepsis. Data presented show the results of the patient's complete blood count, urinalysis, complete metabolic panel, blood and urine cultures. An analysis of the association of group D streptococcus, S gallolyticus subsp. gallolyticus infection with infective endocartitis and with colorectal cancer is presented.
