Abstract
- The article offers information on the Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) certification Piraeus Bank. Topics discussed include impact of Greek and Cyprus financial crisis on the Greek banking industry; acquisition of five bank organizations by Piraeus Bank; evaluation of the suitability of the inspection of Piraeus Bank proposed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 2853 standard; and a decrease in operational costs of the firm between 2009 and 2012.
