Abstract
- The article presents case study of a 54 year old women who injured her ankle in a fall. It presents a technique of treating ankle fractures with Open Reduction Internal Fixation via Improved Posterolateral Incision which was employed to treat her. The study confirms her functional recovery as satisfactory based on postoperative radiography and CT. Other matters discussed include classifications of ankle fractures, biomechanical stability, Lauge-Hansen classification.
